January 9, 2026 by istri

What’s new in the Samsung Galaxy Book4?

Samsung has announced a total of three models: the Galaxy Book4 Ultra, the Galaxy Book4 Pro and the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360.

Before describing the individual laptops in the series, one innovation should first be mentioned: the presence of a touchscreen on these three references. A technology that was previously reserved for the 360 versions.

All models are also eligible for a new cooling system that benefits from an 11% larger vapor chamber and a more efficient fan than the Galaxy Book3.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro

As for the technical characteristics, we start with the Galaxy Book4 Pro. For this model, Samsung offers two Oled screen sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches. These two panels benefit from a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, a brightness of 400 nits and a variable refresh rate of 48-120 Hz.

In terms of performance we find the Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 chips as well as an Intel Arc Graphics iGPU (twice as powerful as the previous generation). 16 or 32 GB of RAM as well as 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB SSD are included in the scope of delivery.

The two models have similar connectivity (two Thunderbolt 4s, one USB Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm jack) but not the same keyboard. In fact, the 16-inch Galaxy Book4 Pro benefits from a numeric keypad thanks to its larger size.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro 360

The Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 has a few additions compared to the Book4 Pro: a 16-inch screen that can be rotated 360° and an S-Pen stylus included, which turns the laptop into a huge touchscreen tablet transformed. Perfect for drawing, playing games or watching series and films.

The Galaxy Book4 Ultra

After all, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra is Samsung’s power monster. A worthy successor to the excellent Galaxy Book3 Ultra, this model is available with graphics cards from Nvidia: The GeForce RTX 4070 accompanies the version with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, while the version with an Intel Core Ultra 4 is entitled to an RTX 4050.

To support these CPU + GPU duos, Samsung offers 16, 32, or 64 GB of RAM and 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB of SSD storage. For the rest, we are entitled to a technical sheet similar to that of the Pro versions, except that the Galaxy Book4 Ultra has a 140W charger (65W on the Pro) capable of charging from 0 to 55% in Allows 30 minutes.

The price list has not been announced by Samsung for the time being. The Galaxy Book4 will launch in South Korea in January 2024.
