Black Friday 2023 – The LCD screen for the Asus TUF VG28UQL1A computer "5 Stars" for €529.00 (-13%) – Les Numériques

The Asus TUF VG28UQL1A monitor features a 28-inch Ultra HD 144Hz IPS panel and two HDMI 2.1 inputs that support 4K 120Hz signals and VRR. On paper, an ideal screen for gaming enthusiasts on latest generation PCs and consoles.

The Asus TUF VG28UQL1A monitor, with its very demanding Ultra HD resolution and such a small diagonal, is of little interest for exclusive use on a PC. We would recommend a more suitable 32-inch or 27-inch Quad HD model. However, if you want to enjoy the new consoles in 4K 120 Hz VRR via HDMI 2.1, this monitor is simply perfect for you. It is well calibrated and benefits from excellent ergonomics and very good responsiveness.

Strong points

  • Image well calibrated by default.
  • HDMI 2.1 compatibility (4K/120Hz and VRR).
  • Responsiveness of the IPS panel.
  • ELMB (black screen insertion) works with FreeSync and G-Sync.
  • Ergonomics (foot adjustable in height, tilt and rotation).
  • Interesting native Ultra HD resolution for consoles.

Weak points

  • Interested in Ultra HD on a 28-inch panel?
  • No USB port on the edge.
  • Average contrast.

Note: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices of all retailers in the last month for the product, with safety rules in place to exclude prices from stores whose VAT policy is unclear (so-called “gray ” stores, typically for imports from China).

alternative

The Asus TUF Gaming VG279QM is an excellent gaming monitor aimed primarily at performance enthusiasts. Originally well calibrated, missing a little contrast and a USB hub to be perfect. It is the most responsive IPS monitor on the market today and remains the only one that can compete with the most efficient TN models. It is a product of choice for cyber athletes. Others will like to go for the AOC 27G2U, which is slightly less responsive and limited to 144 Hz, but is also cheaper.
