Strong content to attract internet users, a winning strategy for Apple TV+
Apple TV+ offers new films and series all year round. In 2023, 50 pieces of original content were added to the catalog, a significant decrease of 10% compared to 2022.
As 9to5Mac’s Benjamin Mayo points out, this situation is largely the result of the Hollywood strike that brought together screenwriters and actors and that lasted almost a semester.

However, this decline in new content has no impact on the appeal of Apple TV+. Deadline states that the platform’s viewership “increased 42% year-over-year in 2023 in more than 100 countries.” The number of hours watched has also increased and has even doubled from year to year.
By combining the series Lessons in Chemistry, Messi Meets America, Slow Horses, For All Mankind as well as Silo with Rebecca Ferguson, Hijack with Idris Elba and Ted Lasso with Jason Sudeikis, very satisfactory results were achieved.

With the promising series Criminal Record (January 10th), Masters of the Air (January 26th) and The New Look (February 14th) at the start of the year, Apple TV+ wants to establish itself as a platform to be reckoned with in 2024.
Finally, remember that since April 20, all Canal+ subscribers from the first subscription level will be offered programs from the streaming platform Apple TV+ at no additional cost.
