The company, which aims to become the “Nvidia of DPUs”, has chosen one of the world’s largest trade fairs for HPC (high performance computing) and AI technology to unveil its new NG box. By combining its DPU cards and the servers from American partner Dell Technologies, it is particularly designed for complex AI processing.
Kalray, Grenoble group present Sophia Antipolis, continues its international breakthrough in the promising area of DPU (Data Processor Unit) and artificial intelligence computing. The company will be present at SuperComputing 2023 in Denver, Colorado, one of the world’s largest events focused on HPC (high performance computing) and AI technologies NG box. Result of the partnership founded last year Dell Technologiesit is based on the Kalray DPU cards and on the servers Dell PowerEdge. Its specialty is to offer fast and scalable storage for the most demanding data processing, including artificial intelligence processing.
“The NG-Box is part of Kalray’s NGenea data management platform, which also includes NG-Stor and NG-Hub,” explains the group in a press release. “NG-Stor is a powerful parallel storage software solution that can easily handle petabytes of data and billions of files. NG-Hub is a data management platform that allows you to automate and orchestrate data movements during complex processing such as AI. Together, Kalray’s NGenea product suite provides enterprises and data centers with a data management and storage platform that specializes in the most demanding data processing, both optimizing processing performance and reducing storage costs.”
The company was founded at SC23 in Denver in 2008 Eric Baissus, a serial entrepreneur from Sophia Antipolis, will also show how NGenea, its data management platform, combined with the American giant’s offering, can provide a unique solution to solve today’s key AI challenges. For Kalray, a new step towards its goal of becoming the “Nvidia of DPUs” and building one of the major technology companies in the emerging world of AI.
